Adhyayan Suman on #MeToo: When I shared my story 2 years ago I was shamed and humiliated

In the wake of the #MeToo movement in India, many prominent names like Nana Patekar, Sajid Khan, Vikas Bahl, Alok Nath, Anu Malik, Abhijeet Bhattacharya and more have come under the scanner.

And while many if the complainants’ cases have been taken seriously and they have been receiving immense support from all quarters, this treatment was not given to actor Adhyayann Suman a few years back, when he opened up about his ordeal.

Adhyayan Suman to launch debut single

Actor Adhyayan Suman is launching his debut single in the tenth year since his father Shekhar Suman unveiled his pop songs album ‘Kuch Khwaab Aise’ in 2007. The video for the song, composed by Harshit Chauhan, was shot in Goa for a week. Italian model Jeniffer Piccinato features with Adhyayan in the music video. It will be launched here on December 20.

It can be recalled that two years back, Adhyayann revealed details about his relationship with Kangana Ranaut.

The actor had accused Kangana of using black magic on him and being physically violent. He also spoke about other ‘disturbing’ (by his own admission) incidents in their relationship with the media.

And in the midst of the ongoing #MeToo movement, Adhyayan revealed his not so pleasant experience of sharing his trauma, in a series of tweets.

He also revealed how not only was he not taken seriously, but also spoke up about how he and his family were ridiculed on television and subjected to constant trolling for quite some time.

Here’s what he tweeted:

The #MeToo movement caught up the heat in India when actress Tanushree Dutta accused Nana Patekar of harassing her on the sets of the film ‘Horn Ok Pleassss’ in the year 2008.
