Is Kailash Kher threatening to send a legal notice to victims who have spoken out against him?

With more and more people coming out with their #MeToo stories and an increasing number of known names being accused, the #MeToo movement shows no signs of ending any time soon. While Sajid Khan and Nana Patekar have been asked to quit ‘Housefull 4’, a case has been filed against Alok Nath. Singer Kailash Kher has also been accused a number of women of inappropriate behaviour, which he has staunchly denied. In fact, singer and music composer Sona Mohapatra has spoken about her own bad experience with Kher.
The latest in the sordid drama is the Indian Film and Television Directors’ Association President Ashoke Pandit’s post on Twitter, which reads as, ‘Will request @Kailashkher not to call up parents of those victims who have complained against him and threaten them of sending a legal notice.’

Reports suggest that Kher has been calling the parents of his victims and threatening them with legal action if they say anything more against him.

Countering him is Sona, who has openly said that she will support all the victims in whatever way she can and that they should not feel intimidated in any way. Sona tweeted, ‘Dear Parents, Girls, Women who are being intimidated in such a manner be it by Kailash Kher or anyone else, please know I will personally help you fight ur case, legally & every other way. There are many more like me who will step up to help you fight the good fight.’
