'Assault on Culture', pro-Kannada organisation protests against Sunny Leone's New Year performance in Bengaluru

Sunny Leone may be the most searched celebrity online, grabbing attention for her hot pictures and sizzling item songs in Bollywood.

She is also quite in demand for adding glamour and oomph to New Year eve’s star-studded parties. But now it seems Sunny’s performance in Bengaluru is in trouble. 

Though the New Year’s Eve is only weeks away, a pro-Kannada group is unwilling to concede their culture in the celebrations. This Bollywood bombshell is unacceptable for the Kannada culture as “barely clad women performing” is one of those things. According to Mid-Day report, a pro-Kannada organisation took out a march in thier city to protest against the actress planned performance in their city. The feel it will harm the garden city’s culture

The Karnataka Rakshana Vedike also led a demonstration and burnt pictures of the actor as they are demanding the cancellation of her programme at a five-star hotel.

On work front, the adult star is all set to make her debut in Telugu period drama. Directed by VC Vadivudaiyan, the yet-untitled film sees her as a warrior. “My character is that of a strong, independent woman. Some are claiming that this will change my image, I do not believe in it. I believe everything is a stepping stone towards something greater.”
