Baaghi 2 box office: Tiger Shroff's film collects Rs 25.10 cr on day 1, beats Padmaavat's opening day biz

Sajid Nadiadwala’s action entertainer Baaghi 2 has broken records and has opened to 25.10 crore at the box office. The Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani-starrer has received overwhelming response from the viewers across India including south markets making the highest opening film for Tiger. 

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to reveal the opening day box-office numbers and wrote, “#Baaghi2 sets the BO on. Takes a FANTABULOUS, EARTH SHATTERING START… Emerges the BIGGEST OPENER of 2018 [so far], surpassing Previews + Day 1 biz of #Padmaavat… Fri ₹ 25.10 cr. India biz… The numbers are an EYE-OPENER!”

He further tweeted, “TOP 5 – 2018 Opening Day biz… 1. #Baaghi2 ₹ 25.10 cr 2. #Padmaavat ₹ 19 cr Note: Thu release; incl previews on Wed ₹ 24 cr Also: Hindi + Tamil + Telugu 3. #PadMan ₹ 10.26 cr 4. #Raid ₹ 10.04 cr 5. #SonuKeTituKiSweety ₹ 6.42 cr India biz.”

Moreover, Baaghi 2 has set an all time new record of opening day on Good Friday. Apart from this, the film has also surpassed Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat opening day collection, which stood at around Rs 19 crore.  

Baaghi 2 is said to be Tiger’s widest release so far with as many as 3500 screens across India. With the holiday weekend still on, Baaghi 2 is eyeing a solid number over the weekend.

Sajid Nadiadwala has taken the film to the next level in all aspects. Co-Produced by Fox Star Studios and Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner name Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, Baaghi 2 is directed by Ahmed Khan and has hit the theatres on March 30, 2018.
