Sidharth Malhotra-Manoj Bajpayee starrer ‘Aiyaary’ and Marvel-ous superhero ‘Black Panther’ are the two big releases for this Friday. And by the looks of it, superhero has beaten Neeraj Panday’s espionage thriller in terms of monday morning collections on Day one.
According to several trade reports, Black Panther has opened to better morning occupancy than Aiyaar across India. On Day 1, both the film have got a slow start but still it’s Sidharth Malhotra’s film which is lagging behind.
After getting delayed twice, Aiyaary was initially meant to release on Janurary 25th, then got shifted to February 9th and finally released on 16th. The film has been banned in Pakistan but opened worldwide in total 2150 screens including 1754 screens in India itself. Considering the popularity and craze for superhero flicks in India, Black Panther has got more than 1000 screens release in India.
For the uninitiated, Black Panther is the first black standalone Marvel superhero movie and it follows the story of T’Challa, who returns to the technologically advanced African nation – Wakanda to take his rightful place as the King of the city, after his father’s death. Black Panther made his presence felt in ensemble of superheroes ‘Captain America- Civil War.’
