After all the director switching drama, the first teaser of Solo: A Star Wars Story finally landed during Super Bowl 2018.
Before purists go crazy over what has been missing from the one-minute-long teaser, just take a moment to appreciate the pristine white walls of Millennium Falcon, regal fur coat worn by Lando Calrissian, that Hunger Games mentor smile of Tobias Beckett, the growl of young Chewbacca, and the thick brown mane of young Han Solo.
Solo: the inspiration behind ‘Who Shot First, Solo: Your dad’s inspiration for Halloween costume, Solo: Your mum’s first crush. Solo: the person you missed the most in The Last Jedi.
The teaser begins with the look at Falcon’s dashboard. Gives you strong nostalgia feel just like what Luke Skywalker must have felt when he entered the pilot’s cabin in The Last Jedi.
As the teaser progresses, we see other characters come to light. Brunette Emilia Clarke and her bangs make an appearance, so do Woody Harrelson and his bangs. Donald Glover’s cold stare gives you chills and we finally see Alden Ehrenreich, looking eerily similar to Harrison Ford as Han Solo.
This is where you clap, every time you watch the teaser. Because watching once is not enough. Trust me.
