'October' Box Office: Varun Dhawan, Banita Sandhu-starrer shows super growth on day 2, collects 12.51 crore

After a rocking box-office innings with ‘Judwaa 2’, Varun Dhawan is back on the big screen with ‘October’. The film is his first collaboration with filmmaker Shoojit Sircar and also Banita Sandhu’s maiden film in Bollywood.

While the trailer and songs unveiled before the release of the film managed to create the right buzz, October started off with a slow but decent collection on the first day and managed to take in a total of Rs 5.04 crore on day one. 

As most of the critics have expressed that October is the kind of film which will take its own sweet time to grow on you, it clearly shows on the second day collection of the film at the box-office. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter account to share the details of the second day box office collections of October. He tweeted, “#October shows a SUPER 48.21% GROWTH on Sat… Metros/plexes are clearly contributing heavily to the revenue… Should continue the upward trend on Sun… Fri 5.04 cr, Sat 7.47 cr. Total: 12.51 cr. India biz.”

October is expected to close its opening weekend on a figure close to Rs 20 crore. The movie is said to be beautifully shot and executed.Most of the cinegoers found themselves completely immersed in the world of October.
