PadMan Vs Aiyaary | Here's why Akshay Kumar-Sidharth Malhotra films will NOT clash at the box-office
Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte starrer ‘PadMan’ is expected to kickstart the year with a bang. The film’s trailers and songs alongwith an interesting subject has got audience intrigued and now the actor has managed to avoid box-office clash with Sidharth Malhotra-Manoj Bajpayee starrer ‘Aiyaary’.
Big screen ‘Brothers’ are not going to battle it out at the ticket window on January 26th as Akshay Kumar has now decided to release his film a day earlier.
Akshay took to social media to announce the new release date as he wrote, “Superhero ke saath Super Republic week. #PadMan releasing on 25th January, 2018! @PadManTheFilm @sonamakapoor @radhika_apte @mrsfunnybones @SonyPicsIndia @kriarj #RBalki”

The film written and directed by R Balki also marks Mrs Funnybones debut as a producer. The actor who was last seen in ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ will be stepping into the shoes of national hero Arunachalam Muruganantham; the inventor of low-cost sanitary napkins for women in rural areas.
Akshay Kumar is busy promoting his film at the moment and said that women should get sanitary napkins for free as it is a basic necessity for them.Asked if the actor wants to reach out to the government to cut down on GST rate of sanitary napkins, Akshay told media here on Thursday: “Why just cut down on GST? I think women should have free access to sanitary napkins. This is their basic necessity. It is about menstrual hygiene and not luxury. It is unfortunate and I am ashamed to say that 82 per cent women in this country have no access to sanitary pads and they are mistreated during those five days of their menstruation period. This is unfortunate.”
