While filmmakers leave no stone unturned to make an impact with their film’s trailer, what sets ‘Bhoomi’ apart is that the event was also emotional. Three of the men who played a key role in Sanjay Dutt‘s life – Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Rajkumar Hirani and Ranbir Kapoor – made it a point to be a part of the trailer launch of his comeback movie.
Speaking in his inimitable style, Dutt thanked everyone present for their support and prayers and acknowledged he couldn’t have returned to movies without the love he receives from his fans. He said, “‘Bhoomi’ is very special to me. It is my daughter Trishala’s birthday today and there couldn’t have been a better day to launch this father-daughter story.”
Pleased with the response the trailer has garnered, director Omung Kumar admitted, “Each day nearing the release of my film gives me goosebumps. With the curiosity growing among people, I’m waiting patiently to see its release.”
‘Excited to produce Baba’s comeback venture’, producer Bhushan Kumar added, “I’m also extremely grateful to Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Raju Hirani and Ranbir Kapoor who so graciously immediately accepted our invitation to be a part of the trailer launch making it so special.”
Calling the day as being ‘all about Baba’, producer Sandeep Singh summed it up saying, “I have immense respect for Baba and the hard work he has put in for ‘Bhoomi’ and the results are there for everyone to see.”
‘Bhoomi’, produced by T-Series and Legend Studios, releases September 22.
