Sooraj Pancholi to play a soldier in his 3rd film

The last time After Hrs spoke to Sooraj Pancholi, he told us that he was in “talks for a few other projects.” But the young actor refused to divulge details on the same. Now, we have finally learnt more about his third project. The Hero actor, who was always keen to play a man in uniform on screen, is all set to live his dream. Says a source, “Sooraj has signed an action-based romantic drama in which he plays a soldier. The film has the Indian military as its main backdrop. It will be directed by Irfan Kamal, who won a National Award for his film Thanks Maa (2009). Sooraj liked the script and has already given it his nod.”

The actor is currently in London shooting for Stanley D’Costa’s dance-based film Time To Dance and will be back in town in August. The source reveals, “He has two months to train for Irfan’s film, which rolls in Kashmir in October. It will be a start-to-finish schedule.” Sooraj will take some time off to work on his physique and look for the film. “He will sport a buzz cut like most army men do, in the film. Along with that, he will also sign up for combat training, so that he’s ready for his role when the filming begins,” adds the source.
