Surveen Chawla is all set to make her debut on the digital platform with Haq Se. She plays a Muslim girl, Meher Mirza. For the portrayal, the actress is required to speak chaste Urdu, so she has started taking lessons from an Urdu professor hailing from Lucknow. To perfect her accent, she is referring to tutorial videos, too. She says, “I am familiar with the language, but Kashmiris are purists in Urdu. I aim to sound as authentic as possible. Meher Mirza is one of the most challenging and interesting roles I have essayed so far. I am excited because it’s nothing like what I have played until now. I wanted to give it my all and I hope I did.” Shot in the North, Haq Se revolves around four sisters Meher, Jannat, Bano, and Amal, who are caught in the political turmoil of Kashmir.
