Web series 'All About Section 377 Season 2' will talk about transgenders based in rural India

Section 377 has always been one of the most talked about topics in today’s age when millennials are hooked on to web-series, actor & director Amit Khanna is now all set to make a comeback with another season – titled All About Section 377 Season 2.

The new season will delve further into the LGBT community and highlights the struggles of the transgenders community in India.

All About Section 377 Season 2 will be the first web series to be set in rural india, in a village called Jatkhor and it has been an easy ride. “The shoot was never easy. Actors from Mumbai could not board flights. It was going on amidst the Baba Ram Rahim controversy and as well as Mumbai floods, Besides the village never really had the best of facilities available to shoot, so arranging for back ups on props and equipment too was a challenge. With everything done, the second season has turned out great! ” says Amit.

This web series focuses on the pressures faced by LGBT community within the country, their fight for acceptance within the system.

“Acting is the toughest thing for me ever especially when I was facing the camera after 2 years and it’s always very difficult to be in front and behind the camera at the same time as I’m never able to see what Iam doing I just have to follow my gut none the less I enjoyed myself thoroughly while shooting the season 2” says Amit Khanna who is acting as well is directing this series.

The Season 1 of the series recently won the award for Best Film in foreign language and Best Cinematography at Berlin International Film Maker Festival 2017.

All about section 377 Season 2 is produced by Anuya Chauhan Kudecha and Ritesh Kudecha of Dancing Shiva, Dhaval Patel of Asmiy Entertainment, Shyam Patel and Amit Khanna Of Phillum Makers. The series is currently under post production and will be released soon.
